This is a painting I made of my son and I after surviving a year of postpartum depression. I was hit so hard through my pregnancy and in my postpartum.
It is painful when I look back at that first year with him. But. I also remember the good moments- even if it is just glimmers here and there. I remember being in the thick of it and deciding to let myself enjoy things even if all of the feelings weren’t there- the snuggles, the laughs, the stages, little baby baths, a good cup of coffee, etc. It actually worked. As I look back I now have the capacity to feel the ups and downs, pain and joy, the beautiful and ugly moments. I can hold it all. And the rest leaks out onto my canvases.
My son is 5 now <3 He is absolutely wonderful. My biggest snuggle bug. The kindest and most thoughtful little boy I have ever met.
High quality giclee paper print. Each print has a 1/2 inch white border to add ease to the framing process. The border on the 4in x 5in print is thinner.
