“Love You, Love” is a painting of my son and I. I painted it with my daughter when she was four. We painted it on stretched canvas with water-soluble graphite- a graphite watercolor. The painting would not look the way it does if she had not helped. She helped with the hair and then started doing the diaper too, which is why the diaper is dark instead of white. As we worked on it, I loved the things that she added and it made the piece what it is.
We reached a point where it was almost time to add color, but it was already finished. Anything more would have taken from it.
My son says this painting looks like I am putting a baby to sleep while it rains outside- which actually happened quite often when he was little.
High quality giclee print on somerset velvet paper. Each print has a 1/2 inch white border to add ease to the framing process.
